Unsolicited text messages can be very annoying. You do not want them yet they keep popping up on your iPhone screen. The unsolicited text messages are there to make money out of you.

2. If your service provider is of no help to you, try breaking your phone by installing an app called iBlacklist. iBlacklist is a call blocker and sms selector only available for the iPhone. With the service, you will be able to select from who you want to receive calls and hide messages. iBlacklist has  a free version but if you want to get the full version be willing to pay $12.00 via paypal.

3. If you want something free then try Spirit, an untethered jailbreak for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. It is not a carrier unlock. Be sure to read the instructions provided before doing anything on your phone.
